Is India really a poor country?

Many times i could not agree this fact. I read in news that the cricketer Dhoni has signed a contract for Rs.200 crore with an advertising company. If a company is able to spend this much amount on a single person,why can't they spend some of the money to help the poor people.There are many rich people in India who keep all the money with themselves.If they give some of them to poor people, india will not be a poor country.

Dear meean!
Rs 200 ?? Dhoni is so poor that he is compelled to work for Rs 200.
It should be Rs 200 Lakh or Crore.

Good question.
Only Rs 200 or 2oo crore. If it is only 200, it is not big amount.If it is 200 crore as you said is correct.For an example. You have a thousand rupees. can you give free 200 rupees to anybody. No. So mostly rich people have that tendency (Some body are there who can give and giving)More they knows that, people can think them as a rich people when they have money in hand. If they are doing as you say more than 50% of people will line up. And nobody people will accept it, they will say I have a big company and more than 1000 employees we have, and we have to have looking after their family also.So I m on doing this way to help public.

Meean,
It is not Rs 200 but Rs 200 Crore.What you pointed out is a very good thought.But in our country rich is always rich and poor is always poor.Instead of continuous monitory aid to a single person we have to think about the creation of a livelihood for each poor person.That is what what the Bangladeshi man Mr.Mohammed Yunus practiced through his Grameen Bank.He received the Nobel Prize for peace in 2006 for this good deed.

If 100 rich persons of India like Dhoni have a social mind like this the poverty of our country can be eradicated completely within ten years.But who wants to do such social charities since they are elite only when there is poor people.

Please change the amount as Rs 200 Crore .

I agree with you Mathi. It is human tendency. Recently HCL chairman gave 5% of his partnership for the social service.

Poor don't know how to keep money. If we give 1 crore to anybody then they will spend entire money without saving money and after 1 year they again become poor person. This is the realty. So India is a poor country. Instead of giving money, we need to educate them.

I made a mistake. Instead of writing 200 crore i wrote Rs.200.Now i corrected it. I think Dhoni will be really shocked if the advertising company corrects Rs.200 crore to Rs.200 :-)

Currently iam not working.My earnings from these sites is very little.But when i was working previously i used to give some amount to charities every year.

Dear friends,

Do you know that India has rehabilitation centers for beggars and poor people?

Not many know this fact,but it is true. We can focus on developing these rehabilitation centers for the poor so that they can pool in beggars and poor and can help them physically and financially.

There were many reports stating the fact that beggars 'run away' from these centers because they are comfortable with the job of begging and being poor than being taken care!

I can say in-fact we are all poor in humanity. If we knew how to handle the people and the flow of money,we all will be good humanitarians!!
