Smoking should be permitted in public places.

Smoking, at any cost, should not be permitted in public places. Smoking is neither good for an active smoker nor for a passive smoker. If smoking gets permitted in public places then it will certainly effect those innocent people who does not smoke.

Considering the harmful affects of smoking and the deadly diseases one get affected with it should not be encouraged. Through smoking, smokers get affected with heart related diseases like lung cancer. It also affects their immune system. Just imagine a smoker smoking in public place. He not only affects himself with smoking but also the people around him including men, women and innocent children.

So in our purpose of building up a healthy and disease free society we should not encourage smoking at all. But if one cannot live without it he/she is free to smoke in various smoking zones in or around them.

Smoke is unhealthy and suffocating. It pollutes the environment. It is injuries to health. Smoking in public places also affect the people who are around the smoker. So it should be banned in all public places. Tobacco, the main ingredient in cigarette and beedy, contains hundreds of toxic chemicals such as arsenic ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, benzene, and vinyl chloride. It is known to cause cancer, coronary heart disease, and respiratory problems.

Smoking is the last thing I would suggest to permit in public. This may lead to cancer not to th one only who is smoking but to the others also who are inhaling the smoke.

Surely not.
It should not be allow at the public places. It is harmful for health, not only the smokes but also for others who smell it. So allowing smokers to smoke in public area can affect other people's health.
Another reason is, people and specially kids, learn things from others. So it is possible that by seeing friends and other people smoking, non smoker people also get attracts with this bad habit.

Smoking has become an integral part of every society. It is addictive and dangerous for both who actively smokes and for those who breathe in the left over. It is an age old debate whether to ban smoking in public places or not. In my opinion yes it should be banned but I also believe that this ban will not be successful. I think we have to find a middle path to solve this problem. In my opinion smoker and non-smoker areas should be separated in some public places and at some places it should be completely banned like in hospitals, parks, cinema halls and playgrounds.

A complete ban on smoking in public places is a dream which has very low probability of coming true. People who smoke they smoke and there is no stopping to it. They smoke at homes, in offices, in train stations, bus stops and everywhere where they can. I think if these people are forced to smoke only at private places for e.g. home then the chances of the family of these people to get exposed to cigarette smoke will increase which will eventually lead to increase in many physical, mental, psychological, social and also marital problems.

A middle way is always better than pushing something too hard to one corner and then pray for it to be a success, which in my opinion is difficult.
