Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm. It weighs about 168 grams. The phone has a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. Capacitive touch screens work by recognizing the electrical properties of the human body instead of pressure. But capacitive touch screens are more sensitive than resistive touch screens.

The screen size is 5.7 inches with approximately 386 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 1080 x 1920 (full HD) pixels.

Memory:

The phone has a microSD card slot. The external memory can be extended up to 64 GB. The internal storage comes in three variations - 16/32/64 GB. The phone has a whooping Random Access Memory of 3 GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the first phone ever to feature a 3 GB RAM.

Connectivity:

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9000 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS technologies in order to connect to cellular networks. Wi-Fi is also available. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly. NFC and Infrared port are also available. Near Field Communication enables data exchange between two electronic devices which are not more than 10 cm apart. IR connectivity is used to transfer data between two devices by the use of infrared light.

Camera:

This phone has a 13 megapixel primary camera. The resolution of the camera is 4128 x 3096 pixels. The features of the camera include autofocus, LED Flash, Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, panorama, HDR etc. There is a 2 MP secondary camera on the front to make video calls.

CPU, GPU and Chipset:

This phone uses Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. The GPU of the phone is Mali-T628 MP6. A GPU is an important part of the chipset and GPUs play an important role where mobile gaming is concerned. The phone uses a Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset.

Sensors, Radio, GPS and Java:

The phone has sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture etc. GPS is also available with A-GPS Support and GLONASS. Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. There is no FM radio feature in this phablet. Java is available via Java MIDP emulator.

Key Features:

The model is available in three colours - White, Black and Pink. It supports microSIM card. The key features of the phone include S-Pen, ANT+ support, S-Voice natural language commands and dictation, Air gestures, SNS integration, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Dropbox (50 GB storage), TV-out (via MHL A/V link), MP4/DivX/XviD/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC player, Organizer, Image/video editor, Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF), Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa, Voice memo/dial/commands, Predictive text input (Swype) etc.

Battery:

The phone is powered by a standard Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery battery. The stand-by time is up to 420 h and the talk time is up to 21 h.
