You can have freshly squeezed orange juice as a morning beverage. To get more nutritional benefit from orange juice, buy orange juices fortified with Vitamin D from a store. Just have a small glass of orange juice every day. A fruit juice is high in calories and sugar content and it should not replace the whole fruits in your diet.

The compounds present in cranberry juice have some effect over certain ovarian cancer drugs and are found to increase the effectiveness of the drugs. . Cranberries are famous for containing very rich amounts of natural chemicals which fight cancer. Like orange juice you should restrict yourself to a small glass of cranberry juice every day. Cranberry juice has low sugar content than many other fruit juices, but it has high acidity. This can cause bladder problems.



Cereal:

There are different types of cereals available in the market. So you should be careful while choosing the cereals. You should choose those cereals which contain more than 5 grams of fibre and less than 5 grams of sugar. This combination can be found in many whole grain and bran cereals. Cereals are rich sources of riboflavin, folic acid and other essential nutrients. To have a wholesome meal of cereal, add milk and some fruits to your cereal bowl. If you do so, you will get whole grains to fill your stomach, protein to provide all day energy and antioxidants to boost immunity.



Wheat Germ:

Wheat Germ is famous for its rich Vitamin E and folate content. Just 2 tablespoons provide about 15% of recommended daily intake of Vitamin E and 10% of folate. If you don't eat a lot of nuts and seeds then wheat grain is the best alternative to add Vitamin E in your diet. You can easily include wheat germ in any meal. Just sprinkle wheat germ over cereal or mix with yogurt or a smoothie.



Whole Wheat Bread:

Carbohydrates are necessary in a breakfast meal. But you should be careful about the types of carbs you choose as they have the capacity to affect the overall health of your meal. Always keep in mind that whole wheat and other whole grains contain more fibre and nutrients than their white counterparts. You should also be careful about what you add with the whole wheat bread. Adding butter or jelly just adds sugar and fats and calories. Instead add egg or almond butter to get more protein.
