Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 126 x 65 x 8.9 mm. It weighs about 123.9 grams. The phone has a Super LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. Capacitive touch screens work by recognizing the electrical properties of the human body instead of pressure and generally we cannot use stylus in capacitive touch screens and so handwriting recognition is not allowed in capacitive touch screens. But capacitive touch screens are more sensitive than resistive touch screens.

The screen size is 4.3 inches with approximately 342 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 720 x 1280 pixels. It has multitouch feature also.

Memory:

The phone does not have a microSD card slot. The internal memory of the phone is impressive. It comes with 16GB internal memory. The phone has a Random Access Memory of 1GB.

Connectivity:

HTC First utilizes both EDGE and GPRS technologies in order to connect to cellular networks. Wi-Fi is also available. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly. NFC is also available. Near Field Communication enables data exchange between two electronic devices which are not more than 10 cm apart.

Camera:

This phone has a 5 megapixel primary camera. The camera has a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. The features of the camera include autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection etc. There is a 1.6 MP secondary camera on the front to make video calls.

OS:

OS is an infrastructure operating component of a smartphone. It is the vital component of a smartphone as it controls all the basic operations of a smartphone. This phone comes with Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean).

CPU, Chipset and GPU:

This phone uses a dual core Krait CPU which is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. The GPU of the phone is Adreno 305. A GPU is an important part of the chipset and GPUs play an important role where mobile gaming is concerned. The phone uses a Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 chipset.

Sensors, Radio, GPS and Java:

The phone has sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc. GPS is also available with A-GPS support and GLONASS. Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. There is no FM radio in this phone. Java is available with Java MIDP emulator.

Key Features:

The model is available in four colours - White, Black, Red, Pale Blue. It supports microSIM card. The key features of the phone include Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Dropbox (25 GB storage), SNS integration, MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV player, MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV player, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Document viewer, photo viewer/editor, Voice memo/dial, Predictive text input etc.

Battery:

The phone is powered by a Li-Po 2000 mAh battery. The battery is non removable. The stand by is up to 432 hours and the talk time is up to 14 hours 20 minutes.

Market Status:

This phone was announced on April, 2013. It was released on April, 2013.
