Garlic may also have the potential to shun tumour growth. Researches show that adding garlic to our daily diet and consuming it regularly reduces stomach cancer by a factor of 12.

Vitamin C rich Fruits and Vegetables:

Vitamin C is an antioxidant which is rich in many fruits and vegetables like grapefruit, orange, bell pepper, broccoli etc. Vitamin C is responsible to prevent the formation of cancer inducing nitrogen compounds. The risk of cancers such as stomach cancer, colon cancer, oesophagus cancer, bladder cancer, breast cancer and cervix cancers can be lowered by consuming fruits and vegetables having high amount of Vitamin C.

Peanut and Peanut Butter:

If you consume Vitamin E rich diets, then there will be a high chance of reducing the risk of stomach, colon, lung, liver and other cancers. Vitamin E is rich in peanuts, peanut butter, almonds, almond butter and sunflower seeds. Add these to your regular diet. Of the all available berries, raspberries, cranberries and blueberries are very good in reducing the risk of cancer. An antioxidant called pterostilbene is present in blueberries in high amount. This antioxidant is found to have cancer fighting properties. Cranberries are famous for containing very rich amounts of natural chemicals which fight cancer. Raspberries help in reducing the risk of oesophagus and colon tumours.

Sweet Potatoes:

Sweet potatoes contain beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is a powerful antioxidant. Researches show that consuming beta-carotene rich foods helps in reducing the risk of cancers such as lung cancer, colon cancer and stomach cancer. A study also reveals that during premenopausal stage, consuming a lot of beta-carotene, folate, Vitamin C and fibre rich foods reduces the risk of breast cancer by about 50%.

Wild Salmon:

Several types of cancers including colon and breast cancers are linked to low intake of Vitamin D. Researchers suggest that Vitamin D may prevent the development of tumour feeding blood vessels. Wild salmon is rich in Vitamin D. But only a few food items provide Vitamin D and so you should consider having more dairy products and wild salmon
