The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the Android flagship to beat based on sheer sales, but the LG G2 one ups it in just about every way possible. Two South Korean neighbors and bitter rivals are once again standing in each other's way, and for us, users, choosing a side seems to have never been harder.

Display:

The display plays an important role in a mobile phone's success in the market. LG G2 features a 5.2 inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen while Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Both have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Galaxy S4 surpasses LG G2 a little in terms of ppi pixel density with 441 ppi pixel density while the latter has 424 ppi pixel density. The screen of LG G2 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and on the other hand the screen of Galaxy s4 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Body:

The thickness of Samsung Galaxy S4 is just 7.9mm and the thickness of LG G2 is 8.9mm. So S4 is around 11% slimmer than G2. This gives S4 a beautiful look and it also feels good in one's hand. S4 is also lighter than G2. G2 weighs about 143 grams while S4 weighs just about 130 grams.

Memory and Storage:

In terms of storage Galaxy S4 is unbeatable as it offers three variations of internal storage (16GB/32GB/64GB) and there is also a card slot and the external memory can be extended up to 64GB. Though LG G2 offers two variations of internal storage (16GB/32GB), there is no card slot. Both Galaxy S4 and LG G2 feature 2GB RAM.

CPU:

Both LG G2 and S4 use Quad core CPU. In G2 it is Krait 400 and in S4 it is Cortex-A15. But there is a huge difference in speed between these two giants as G2's CPU is clocked at 2.26GHz while S4's CPU is clocked at 1.6GHz. So G2 will be 41% more faster than S4 due to 2.26GHz CPU clocking.

Battery:

LG G2 has a non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery while Galaxy S4 has a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery. The battery in S4 is removable. So if your phone freezes, you can remove the battery and hard reset your phone. But you cannot do the same in LG G2. Moreover you can replace the battery in S4 if the battery performance is degraded. LG G2 wins over S4 in the battery stand by time. It offers around 113% longer battery stand by time than S4. The stand by time of S4 is 370 hours while it is around 790 hours in LG G2.

Price:

The price of LG G2 is Rs.34,255 (16GB) while the price of Samsung Galaxy S4 is Rs.35,225 (16GB) (prices from amazon.in).
