Blackstrap Molasses and Health Benefits of It

Blackstrap molasses is a by-product in the process of making sugar from sugarcane. It is a dark black colored liquid and it can be used in place of sugar. Normal white sugar has no benefits but molasses has amazing health benefits.

Blackstrap molasses is full of nutrients and it has so many health benefits. It encloses copper, manganese, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B6. It is an excellent source to add these vitamins and minerals to your diet.

Some of the health benefits of Blackstrap Molasses:

Anemia


One serving of a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses can provide 70% of our daily iron needs. Adding one tablespoon of it helps to cure anemia.

Blood Pressure


It purges toxins from the blood and balances it at a normal level. Copper and Iron in molasses helps to build the blood plasma that is good for heart cells. Copper and Potassium present in molasses enhances the function of nervous.

Arthritis


Take a tablespoon of molasses with warm water will help relieve arthritic pain. You can take it thrice a day.

Soreness and Pain


It is always better to try natural remedies to get relief from pain rather than taking pain killers. Some people do not like its bitter taste. So it can be added to a juice and consumed.

Soaking your hands and feet in a hot water tub with a few spoons of molasses dissolved in it helps to relieve the soreness and pain. Apart from relief from pain molasses helps to heal canker sores.

Note: It is always best to consult your physician before you go for any kind of self diagnosis and medication. Since molasses is a sugar extract and it can result in tooth decay so ensure that you should brush your teeth after taking it.
