Shrikhand is nothing but falvoured yoghurt(curd). It is a famous sweet dish of Western India.
Ingredients 4 cups: Curds/Yoghurt
3/4 cups. sugar
1 tbsp warm milk
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
few strands saffron
1/2 tbsp. pista & almond (spliced)
Method 1. Pour the curd into a bowl through a clean muslin/cheese cloth, gently squeeze it, and put in the refrigirator for 6-8 hours to drain the water completely out of yoghurt.
2. Dip the saffron into the milk to let it dissolve. Keep aside.
3. Take a bowl, add the yoghurt mass, sugar, the dissolved saffron and cardamom. Mix well till sugar is dissolved.
4. Finally, add the pista and the almond pieces.
Now, Shrikhand is ready to be savoured and enjoyed.
