Google ad sense is an advertising contextual program by Google which allows us to make a little extra cash from blogs or sites. In order to apply for a Google ad sense account, you need to have an up and running blog or site.

Things to Remember before Signing Up for Ad Sense
1. Make sure that your blog has got a specific theme. It has to attract some visitors who will be interested in finding all the information which you have given.

2. All the articles and posts should be relevant to your chosen theme. It shouldn't be like a shabby site with too much of topics from online games and gadgets to cooking and pets.

3. Make sure that the content is original and unique. Also there should not be any broken links and spam contents.

4. Also make sure that every pages of your site or blog are running fine. Because any pages under construction, will not be given approval. The site should be fully up and running at least for 6 months or more.

5. The site should get enough traffic on a daily basis. The number of visitors visiting would be different for different sites. But on an average a good number of unique visitors enhance the chances of greater earning potential of the blog.

Things to consider After Signing up with Ad sense
Now that you have a site which displays Google ads, you will start earning on your ads depending on the site traffic and revenue share. Google has never disclosed the exact details about how much percentage the publishers would receive on an ad or a site. So the key factor is to improve the traffic of your site and keep on publishing quality content specific to your targeted visitors.

In a nut shell, you will have to:
1. Improve the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) knowledge and apply it to the site.

2. Improve the traffic by building contacts in social networking sites and back links.

3. Market your blog so that others will come to know about yours.

4. Join similar forums and online groups which are interested in your subject and post your
comments there with a link to your site.

This ad sense is not a get rich quick scheme. With all due efforts and hard work, one can see the money rolling in.
