Coconut rice recipe

This article describes on how to make coconut rice

         

Ingredients:
Boiled rice - 3 cups
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Red chillies - 2 to 3
Cashewnut seeds - 6 to 7
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Oil - 2 tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Salt - As per taste

Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
2. When mustard seeds sputters out, add urad dhal.
3. When urad dhal becomes slightly reddish, add the grated cocunut and curry leaves.
4. Fry it till the cocunut becomes little crispy.
5. Fry cashewnut seeds in ghee till it becomes slightly reddish.
6. Take the rice in a broad vessel and allow it to cool for sometime.
7. Add salt ,cocunut mix and fried cashwenut seeds to the rice and mix it well using your hands.

Note:
1. Instead of cashewnut seeds, you can also use groundnut seeds.
2. Use water little less than the usual quantity for making this rice so that it will be more tasty.
