10 Tips to Build Your Body Immunity

Immunity or the resistance to diseases is essential for all of us, especially in the monsoon season. Theis article desctribes some tips to help build up your body immunity


Immunity or the resistance to diseases is essential for all of us, especially in the monsoon season, where the climate is humid and chances of getting colds or viral fevers increase. Here are some tips for strengthening your immune system.

1. Drink Lime juice with honey: A glass of lemon juice, a spoonful of honey taken with warm water early in the morning would build up a strong immune system. Alternatively, you can also have some basil juice (basal leaves in warm water).

2. Take Herbal tea: Herbal tea is that which is made with natural herbs, other than the leaves of the tea plant. Some of the herbal teas include: Basal(Tulsi) tea, ginger tea, mint tea, sage tea, and Green tea. All of them are fairly easy to prepare, for instance, green tea is prepared by steeping one teaspoon of green tea leaves to one cup of hot (not boiling) water for 2-3 minutes. Similarly, Basal tea can be made by keeping a bunch of fresh basal leaves in a tea-pot and boiling with water for about 10 minutes with the lid closed and then sieving it.

3. Eat Natural and Antioxidant-rich foods: Include berries (especially acai berry) and multi vitamins as part of your diet. Also, eat more of dark colored foods like kale, beetroot, tomato etc. which are rich in cell-protecting antioxidants. Organic foods are immune builders while processed foods, which have more preservatives, reduce immunity.

4. Have Onion and Fresh garlic: Onions contains a strong immune booster called quercetin which is also an antihistamine and an antioxidant. Hence, a glass of onion juice does wonders in increasing the body immunity. Similarly garlic also helps in building resistance and immunity.

5. Avoid caffeine: Caffeine decreases immunity in the body. So, it is best to reduce the caffeine intake. Also, smoking and alcohol needs to be avoided.

6. Consume fresh fruits: Have a frequent intake of fresh fruits like apple and orange. Fruit juices like orange juice, preferably without sugar, help a lot in improving the immunity.

7. Consume yogurt, if possible Probiotic yoghurt: Plain yoghurt is great for increasing immunity. Probiotic yoghurt, which is nothing but plain yoghurt that contains cultures of certain beneficial bacteria, is even more good in strengthening the immunity.

8. Sleep and Exercise well: Having a good sleep, preferably 8 hours in a day, and exercising the body daily go a long way in building an efficient immune system.

9. Get good proteins: Proteins, like soyabeans helps in building muscles, which, in turn enhances the immunity of the body.

10 Drink lots of water: Water helps to keep the mucous membranes moist for attacking the microorganisms, and aids in the easy elimination of the waste from the body. A glass of water, early in the morning would increase the immunity power.

I will try these on me and let me experience whether all these work or not?
I will share my experience after using all these,it can be done by any one at home as all these things are easily available so everybody should try for it

When it is cold and rainy season in our place, I always have a trouble having colds and cough. That is always happening when that season occurs. Before I don't understand why I usually have that condition. The worst thing that came in my mind is that I have a condition in respiratory. But later on, I have discovered that I have a weak immune system and bacteria easily enters my body. I asked my mother and she said that I missed 1 vaccine when I was still a baby. Thanks for your tips, I know it provides a great help for me especially in my condition. You educated me and continue to post more articles.
