How to Improve One's Looks

One's look refers to one's physical appearance. Improving one's looks means attaining a pleasing and attractive physical appearance.

         

How you look affects how you feel. It is important to improve your looks if you want to feel confident and secure about yourself. Self-confidence will enable you to relate with others, to gain more friends and to be happy as you are growing. And more importantly, to feel secured and motivated to the best of what you can be.

One's look refers to one's physical appearance. Improving one's looks means attaining a pleasing and attractive physical appearance. A pleasing and attractive physical appearance starts with personal hygiene and grooming. This means that one looks neat, healthy, and pleasing. It can also mean looking one's best through good health habits, proper posture, and appropriate use of clothes.

Developing good posture. Good posture means being able to carry one's body properly. It is keeping the body erect, your hands and feet in their proper position whether standing, sitting, or walking. It can be develop and formed into a habit through constant practice. Here is how to develop good posture.

1. How to stand properly

a. Stand straight, with feet slightly apart.
b. Put your chest outward and stomach in. let your body feel natural and comfortable.
c. Keep your chin up as high as though balancing a book on top of your head.
d. Both of your feet should support your body weight.

2. How to sit properly

a. Sit straight from your neck down to your hips.
b. Make sure that both your knees are together.
c. Place your hands on your lap to rest or when not doing anything.

3. How to walk properly

a. Always maintain the position that your body has when standing.
b. Feel should be straight with the toes pointing forward.
c. Make sure that your steps have equal distances.
d. Bend your knees slightly and move your thighs from your hip joints.
e. Maintain a straight body and minimize movements from your shoulders and hips.
f. Let your arms move freely.
g. Avoid dragging your shoes or slippers while walking.
h. To practice proper walking, put a book on top of your head while walking in straight line.
