Painless terminal haematuria is the most common symptom. Later the disease may be complicated by frequent urinary tract infections, bladder or ureteric stone formation, hydronephrosis, renal functional abnormalities and ultimately renal failure with a contracted calcified bladder. Pain is often felt in iliac fossa or in loin and radiates to groin.

Investigations -

1. Dipstick urine testing.

2. Ultrasound.

3. Cystoscopy.

4. Urine test.

5. Serological test.

6. Sigmoidscopy.
