Modern world is more worried about heart diseases that are prevalent everywhere due to modern lifestyle and food habits. There are a lot of evidences that say that these food habits cause heart diseases through the proliferation of increased levels of cholesterol. The unsaturated fats in fish, called omega-3 fatty acids, have been found to reduce the risk of dying of heart disease by preventing cholesterol particles that have become oxidized in the blood causing abnormalities relating to insulin resistance.

Heart health in the modern world

It is a well-known fact that modern lifestyle with eating loads of saturated fat and leading a sedentary lifestyle is damaging our hearts heavily. Technological life with cell phones, tension with sky-high loan payments and soaring prices, and restless life with seven-day work weeks also wreaks havoc on our already weak hearts.

The excess burdens on the nervous system that result from unresolved stress result in excessive demands on the circulatory system, reducing blood flow to cells and increasing levels of damaging inflammation.

Omega-3 a boon to heart health

Omega-3 has become the champion to promote heart health in the modern world. Recent studies published in the journals Nutrition Review and Biological Psychology state about the impact of nutritional value of omega-3 fats EPA and DHA that hep to improve insulin signaling and lower heart disease risk. The study also showed that Omega-3 promotes secretion of adiponectin, a potent hormone secreted by white adipose tissue that regulates insulin function and in this way it reduces inflammation in the circulatory system.

Omega-3 fats from diet or supplementation, combined with dietary fiber and exercise, can increase the levels of adiponectin secretion up to 60%, which can definitely lower the risk from inflammatory disease and metabolic syndrome. Hence, a balanced diet with fish oil supplementation can greatly improve your body system to control diabetes and cardiovascular problems, through controlling stress agents that cause inflammation, helping blood circulation and reducing bad cholesterol.

Include fish in your diet and be free from your worries

Today, you can be free from your worries about heart disease, by eating one or two servings of fish a week that can enrich you with Omega-3. Our planet earth is covered with water resources which can provide us the fish wealth and protect humanity from heart attacks.
