The omega-3 fatty acids found in most of fish are good for the optimum maintenance of your heart.
Modern world is more worried about heart diseases that are prevalent everywhere due to modern lifestyle and food habits. There are a lot of evidences that say that these food habits cause heart diseases through the proliferation of increased levels of cholesterol. The unsaturated fats in fish, called omega-3 fatty acids, have been found to reduce the risk of dying of heart disease by preventing cholesterol particles that have become oxidized in the blood causing abnormalities relating to insulin resistance.

The study also showed that Omega-3 promotes secretion of adiponectin, a potent hormone secreted by white adipose tissue that regulates insulin function and in this way it reduces inflammation in the circulatory system.

Omega-3 fats from diet or supplementation, combined with dietary fiber and exercise, can increase the levels of adiponectin secretion up to 60%, which can definitely lower the risk from inflammatory disease and metabolic syndrome. Hence, a balanced diet with fish oil supplementation can greatly improve your body system to control diabetes and cardiovascular problems, through controlling stress agents that cause inflammation, helping blood circulation and reducing bad cholesterol.
