Starting the winter day with a sweet drink of honey with lemon juice in warm water is a perfect tonic for your health. It refreshes the body, stimulates brain for better activities and keeps you refreshed throughout the whole day.

         

A cold winter day brings some of its own health challenges when more than hundred viruses are more active causing a lot of health problems. Winter with shorter days, decreased light and colder weather is the season when body gets weaker and enemies of health become stronger. Regular consumption of a glass of warm water mixed with two teaspoons of honey and two teaspoons of lemon juice will refresh you, build up your immunity and protect you from the seasonal health hazards of winter.

4) Relief from sore throat and cough
The antimicrobial properties of honey not only soothe throats but can also kill certain bacteria that causes the infection. It is good for professional singers and orators. Taking a spoonful of honey with lemon juice and a pinch of salt will soothe the inflammation and relieve from cough. Taking honey with pepper is also good for cough.
