Real Facts of the killing of 28 Pakistan Soldiers

December 03, 2011  by: Madan G Singh  Points: 15   Category: Political    Views: 480

28 Pakistan soldiers died in a NATO operation, but perhaps their death was because of the incompetence of the Pakistan army

28 Pakistan soldiers have been killed in a NATO air strike. The Pakis are incensed, mainly because it shows the incompetence of their army. This is nothing new as even with all the planning and latest weaponry the Pakistan army had at their command, they ended up losing half of their country in 1971 and also gave a poor account of themselves in the Kargil conflict.

Thus when NATO helicopters struck across the Afghan border 28 pakistan soldiers paid the supreme price for the incompetance of their generals. The Pak army which consists of the erstwhile Muslim regiments of the British Indian army was a cogent fighting force during British days, but after 1947 the Paksitan army has shown that itsa paper tiger and apt to throw in the towel at the sightest hardship.

Information about the Air strike which is now coming in as follows

a) The Afghan forces on the ground chasing the Taliban asked for an airstrike on the Pakistan Afghan border as they suspected Taliban fighters to be there.

b) The command post recieved the information in real time and asked the coordination committee whether any Pakistan troops were in the area. This committee has as its members , soldiers from Pakistan, Afghanistan and NATO.

c) The co-ordination committee gave the green signal and confirmed no Pakistan soldiers were in that area. The NATO struck after that information was passed.

This again shows that the Pakistan member of the committee had no idea that Pakistan troops were in that area. This is a grave lapse and shows that the Pakistan army is not able to pass contact information in real time to their representatives on co-ordination committes any where in Afghanistan.

Crying hoarse that 28 soldiers have died in an unprovoked attack does sound a little hollow.
