This is a very easy cuisine item which has many medicinal values. Bitter gourd has excellent medicinal values. It is packed with nutrients and health benefits. It is full of essential mineral like calcium, potassium, copper, iron and vitamins like A, b1 and b2. Bitter gourd is an antidotal, appetizing, anti-bilious and antipyretic tonic. It is also a good laxative.
If you give bitter gourd directly, your children may not like it because of its bitter taste. But if you coat it with sweeteners it will become the most demanded snack.
Hereby I have given a preparation suitable for evening snacks. Children like this item as it is tasty and crunchy.
Ingredients:

Method of preparation:
Trim the bitter gourds and scrape the outer skin. Make a slit into these gourds and remove the seeds. Put them in a bowl of salted water and cook the bitter gourds for two or three minutes. Remove the bowl from the oven and allow the bitter gourds to remain in the hot water for three or four minutes more. Then drain the water out and pat dry the gourds with a kitchen towel. Then prepare the mixture by grinding all the filling ingredients. Blend them well. Fill the bitter gourds with the filling mixture. Then prepare the pan with oil for frying. Then fry the filled-in bitter gourds in a pan until they turn golden brown.
Now the crunchy and sweet bitter gourds are ready.
