KJV Bible is 400 years old. It has been a great asset to people not only as a religious book but also as a great source of knowledge that shaped millions of minds in various fields.

King James Version of Bible was written four centuries back as a turning point in history. The Holy Bible is the book that has been most popular throughout history and has been translated into most of the world languages. Although today there are a number of English versions of The Holy Bible, including a Student's Bible and a Woman's Bible and the New International Version, King James Version of Bible has been a unique treasure chest of special value throughout history.

A book loved by generations

The words of Gordon Campbell, who wrote a history of the King James Version, express the important role it played in the minds of millions. He describes it to be nearer to heart than any other book. He says, "It is the King James Version that has been loved by generations of those who have listened to it or read it to themselves or to others; other translations may engage the mind, but the King James Version is the Bible of the heart."
In English language, King James Version of Bible is hailed not only as a book of religious value but also for its pristine beauty of the English language in which it is written.

A great wealth of knowledge

KJV Bible was a great asset of knowledge as well as English literature. A number of journalists loved it for its beauty of language. As Khushwant Singh, one of the oldest Indian journalists, points out, it is through reading the King James Version of the Bible that many Non-English-Speaking journalists learnt good English. It has been a treasure chest to millions of people all over the world who loved English language.

An excellent feat of scholarship

As Campbell describes, KJV Bible was the first and foremost unbelievable feat of scholarship undertaken in the 17th century initiated by King James. The translators involved in it were fluent in Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic and Ethiopic, as well as were expert theologians and Bible historians. As the history of KJV Bible says the formidable project of translating the Holy Bible was begun in 1605 and it was in 1610 that the work went to press. In the year 1611 the first book of the huge pulpit folios known today as "The 1611 King James Bible" came off the printing press.
It was a faithful and accurate translation, carefully preserving the integrity and reliability of every phrase and verse of the original Scriptures. It gives the meaning clearly in natural English maintaining grammar of the language. It has been an influence of Christianity throughout the English-speaking world.

Although the words of KJV Bible are translated from Greek and Latin, they have been meaningful center of life for millions of English-known people throughout these four centuries.
