Easter candies and Easter eggs are popular amongst the children. They are indeed eager to lay their hands on these dishes. The good thing is that a dish like Easter candy is not the only item for your dessert. As a matter of fact, Easter cakes are a much loved dessert item. Let us also take this opportunity to teach you Mini cake eggs recipe.
For the Mini cake eggs you will need, cake mix, mini egg pan, 14 oz of cocoa melting chocolate candies, a bowl and a spoon to mix the mixture. Rolling pin, fondant, cookie cutters and colors sugar will do best to make the cakes more attractive. A couple of round cake pans, a serving platter with some jelly beans and vegetable shortening would complete the list of the ingredients. But yes, do not forget the microwave. Well, on a lighter side, without this the cake will never be a reality.
It would be worthwhile to prepare one mini cake for every individual. The instructions of the same are provided on the mini egg pans. Once done, let the cakes cool. Put a bag of chocolate melting candies on a microwave bowl for around 30 seconds. Stir it thoroughly. Microwave it again for around 10 seconds. Take intervals of 10-12 seconds and repeat the cycle until the chocolate melts entirely.
Add at least one tsp. of vegetable shortening into the melted chocolate. Stir again to get liquid form which can be poured. Now keep the eggs on the cooling rack. Now, pour the liquid chocolate on the cakes and make an even coating. Let it cool in the refrigerator for about an hour so that the chocolate can be set properly.
Now make rolls of the fondant sheets. Make interesting shapes like stars or circles or whatever you may feel comfortable with. Use the cookie cutter to get the desired shapes. It is a lot easier using the cookie cutter. Apply some water at the bottom of these cut-outs and then place them on the cakes. To make the dish more attractive, sprinkle the colored sugar.
