Heaven Is Craving For You

December 18, 2011  by: Paulose  Points: 12   Category: Others    Views: 500

'What kind of place will be heaven' has been an interesting search of humanity throughout its existence. Though we do not know about it, we are destined to reach it. Actually heaven is craving for us.

Heaven has been a concept of curiosity for all. People often ask the question, "What kind of place will heaven be like?" Although the Bible discusses about heaven in so many places, it is not possible to understand the full nature of heaven from a human perspective. Since heaven is said to be the place where God lives, it must contain more physical and temporal dimensions than those found in this physical universe that God created. We are not unable to imagine, nor can we experience in our current existence with bodies, what these extra dimensions might be like.

All the same, the Holy Bible gives enough information to understand many of the things that will be different in heaven compared to our lives in this world. But one thing is certain. We are all created to reach and live in heaven.

The keys of heaven are given to us

Reaching heaven is in our own hands only. The key of heaven is entrusted with us. Repentance for reconciliation is the matchless key that opens the door of heaven.

The power of repentance

Heartfelt repentance threatens even the devil terribly. It destroys the regime of the devil. The act of contrition is the rejoicing trumpet of heaven. The repentance of heart brings the grace for reconciliation from heaven. The feeling of sorrow that rises from the bottom of the soul makes it abhor the sinful life and enables a fruitful resolution of conversion filling the heaven with joy.

The power of sin

Sin destroys the image and divinity of God that is implanted in man. Sin axes the very roots of graces granted freely to man and annihilates the godliness in man. Besides, the devil removes ability to think of and practice any good. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10). The devil is a cunning thief. He is the worst cheat and liar. "It is only the person that sins that shall die" (Ezekiel 18: 4).

Clutches of sin

Are you under the clutches of the devil? Just remember that since the pleasure of sin is still in our body, though we pull ourselves away from the sin it will not leave us free. When one devil leaves us, he will bring seven more devils that are stronger than him.

Repentance takes us to Jesus

We must always have the power to resist the temptations leading us to sin. Do you also have the desire to see God as Zacchaeus who was hiding himself on the sycamore tree? Jesus is so kind that he volunteers to meet Zacchaeus who only had the curiosity to see Jesus. Though sin had hidden the first sinners in leaves, the desire to see God was still there in them. That could bring out the tears of reconciliation. You can also walk back as the prodigal son. Are you ready to abandon the mud pot like the Samaritan woman described by John? If you are ready to abandon your mud pots of selfishness and all evils of sin, you can be sure that you are also in the right track of repentance. Just place all the things, desires, persons and everything that caused you sin, at the feet of our Lord Jesus. It is the life of repentance.

Repentance assures us heaven

God is waiting for us. He is the personification of mercy. He is ready to embrace us all in His great love and mercy.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ" (Ephesians 2: 4-5). "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10: 10). Now, though we are not sure of what kind of place will be heaven, we can be sure that heaven is craving for us!
