Anxiety and worry can be very dangerous when they attack body and mind beyond limits. They lead to unrelenting doubts and fears and cripple activities. Some easy exercises can help you to jump out of this fearful circle of anxiety and worry.


Anxiety fills you with unnecessary worries and leaves your mind preoccupied with hundreds of "what ifs". You are harassed with unrelenting doubts and unabated fears which suck out all your energy, causing your anxiety levels soaring and crippling your activities entirely.

Although everyone experiences anxiety from time to time in life, some are paralyzed by its interference. When anxiety takes you into uncontrollable level it may throw you into depression and despair. Doing some exercises can protect you from such snares of anxiety.

Five easy exercises that can save you from soaring anxiety

Exercise of any kind can help your mind and body to overcome the anxiety and tension. There are many relaxation exercise techniques that can easily be practised almost anywhere. You need not spend hours on it. Just a few minutes of doing it is enough to fill you with fresh energy casting away your anxiety. Exercises fill you with oxygen and cause endorphins in the body to increase creating a feeling of refreshment.

1) Breathing exercises
There are a lot of breathing techniques that relax both body and mind. Breathing exercise the most important of all exercises as it is vital in keeping the organs of the body in control. Anxiety automatically makes breathing rapid which is called hyperventilation that normally occurs with anxiety or panic. Sometimes it also causes over-breathing, and give you a feeling breathlessness.

Here is an easy breathing exercise. Just close your eyes and breathe in slowly concentrating on the breathing air that goes into your body.Think that it fills your lungs. Wait for a few seconds, as long as you can. Then breathe out in the same way imagining that the air coming out takes out all the malices from your body and mind. Do it slowly. You will certainly feel refreshed and your anxiety is gone. You can also count numbers which makes breathing easier and taking away your anxiety more certain.

2) Just go out for a walk
Getting out of the environment where you feel anxious will help you escape from it. When you feel that your anxiety is overwhelming you, get out of the place and have a brisk walk. Look at the surroundings. If you can you can someone with you. But do not talk about the topic that makes you anxious. Talk about the beautiful things around you. A walk of 10 minutes can do much help.)

3) Stretch you body
Stretching the body gently makes it relaxed. It increases the blood flow, fills you with oxygen and reduces stress hormone production. Stretch your arms overhead and move your feet well.

4) Do some yoga
There are many yoga poses that you can learn easily and make use of for reducing your anxiety and worries. They combine body poses with breathing.

5) Take a bath
Taking a bath will refresh you with new energy. You can use either cold or warm water which you think will suit you better. Adding a little salt in the water you use for bath will give a new experience.

There are many other relaxation techniques that can relieve you from anxiety and worries. But only five easiest ones have been described here.
