Overcome Your Negative Thinking Just in Three Steps

Negative thinking appears to be more prevalent than positive thinking and comes easily and uninvited. It causes all failures and destructions. We can overcome negative thinking by diligent practice.

         

Thinking is the unique gift of human beings. All of us are thinking beings and we cannot exclude the intellect from participating in any of our functions. We think positively and negatively. Both positive and negative have the power to change our lives and cause many ups and downs. Most of the time what we hear throws us into negative thoughts and pulls us down especially if it is a disparaging remark. Our lives and circumstances mirror our negative thoughts and expose them to the outside world. Too many negative thoughts are quite dangerous and destructive to life.

Negative thinking comes to everybody. It ranges from frets and fumes of the day's chores to a big jolt in the form of a rejection in an interview, which could have made your prosperous career. Negative thinking appears to be more prevalent than positive thinking and comes easily and uninvited. We magnify the small mistake into unnecessary size. Fear and worries follow the anxiety created by these negative thoughts immersing us into unfathomable sea of unhappiness.

Negative Thought in Many Forms

Disappointment, depression, greed, anger, jealousy, hatred, etc. are the partners of negative thoughts. They are like viruses that attack our attention and divert it from positive thinking and start to breed in our mind and grow into threatening nightmares culminating in a hopeless failure.

We Can Change

Our mind is a neutral energy. The way we think determines weather the results are positive and beneficial or negative and harmful. We can train the mind to choose positive thinking. Just in three steps you can overcome your negative thinking. First, you have to widen your mental horizon and find out what has happened. Second, you have to chance in your mind with a strong determination. Third, you execute your decision with solid plans. Reviews, maintaining a diary, autosuggestions and some breathing exercises can help you to execute your resolutions.

Here are the three steps

First, Widen Your Mental Horizon

The positive thought that you are not the only one suffering from hits of bad luck or adversity and that there others who are not going down with the wheel will widen your mental horizon. Starting from the scratches many people have established successes. It is your determination that wins. Stare at your limitations, misfortunes and setbacks and tell yourself that they cannot undo you.

Second, Decide to Change

It is you who have to change. You cannot change the world. The solution lies in changing your own attitude of negative thinking into a positive one. Hence decide that from today-from this very moment- you are leaving your negative thought and negative behavior. It is never too late. As soon as you turn to positive side, your life will turn into a fascinating and wonderful journey.

Third, Review and Execute- Maintain a Diary

Though it may seem to be a tire some task keeping a diary to encourage yourselves will enable you to overcome your negative thoughts. You have to look at how often you are making the same choice and in what situations (about choosing your thought).

Autosuggestions
Autosuggestions of positive thoughts should encourage you reminding you your determination to positive thinking. Learn to really hear little monologues in your own head that may precede bad choices.

Breathing Exercises
Deep breathing exercises help to avoid negative thoughts. Sitting comfortably in a quiet environment, take breathes focusing on the breath pulling away ourselves from any negative thought. Every time a negative thought creeps in, reject it and think a positive one instead.
