Skin Care for Oily Skin

Oily skin person need to wash the face three times a day to get rid of excess oil produced by sebaceous glands.


Skin care for oily skin is very important. Skin care for oily skin is as follows-

1. Cleansing.

2. Exfoliation.

3. Moisturizing.

4. Sunscreen.

5. Diet.

1. Cleansing - oily skin produce more oil than other skin types. So it needs more cleansing than other skin types. Oily skin person need to wash the face three times a day to get rid of excess oil produced by sebaceous glands. Right cleanser is very important to clean the skin. So one should use neem based or aloe vera based face wash.

2. Exfoliation
- exfoliates the skin twice or thrice a week to remove the excess dirt accumulated in the skin pores. But avoid it on daily basis.

3. Moisturizing - We know that oily skin produce more oil than other skin types then what is the need of moisturizing the skin. We need to moisturize the skin to store the minimum quantity of moisturization which is needed for normal functioning of skin. But never use heavy moisturizer because sebaceous glands of oily skin are already producing too much oil. Therefore, we need very little moisture to replenish the normal moisture level of oily skin.

Use aloe vera or cucumber based moisturizer which is not that heavy on skin. Avoid cocoa butter based moisturizer for heavy skin.

4. Sunscreen - The next step after moisturization is to apply sunscreen on the exposed area of body to avoid the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays on skin.

5. Diet - maintaining oil free diet is also very important as what we eat also affects our skin. If you do all the above four steps but keep on eating oily food then the all the above steps will go waste.
