Yoghurt is tasty, yummy and delicious dairy product made from the milk by the fermentation of milk. It is very nutritious and healthy for body. It has lot of health benefits.

         

Yoghurt is very nutritious and healthy for body. It has lot of health benefits. The health benefits of yoghurt are as follows-

1. Yoghurt contains vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin K. All these vitamins are very important for the healthy functioning of body.

2. Yoghurt contains calcium which helps in the formation of strong bones.

3. Yoghurt contains vitamin B12 which is very important for good and healthy functioning of nervous system.

4. Yoghurt contains good amount of antioxidants which are very important for healthy functioning of body.

5. Yoghurt also contain good amount of phosphorus essential for building strong bones.

6. Yoghurt also contains zinc, magnesium, iron, these essential minerals are very important for human body. Iron is necessary for hemoglobin formation in body whereas magnesium is required for the good functioning of muscular system.

7. Yoghurt also helps in weight loss and reducing blood cholesterol level of body.
8. It also helps in preventing atherosclerosis of arteries.

9. It is also very good for skin. It deep cleanses the skin. It is also very good cleanser to detoxify the skin.

10. It acts as very light diet in case of diarrhea. It is usually recommended to patients suffering from diarrhea and fever as it is easily digestible by the body.

Yogurt being excellent for health is also a great beauty product and also one of the most easily available ingredient for making face packs or for hair.

Plain yogurt and curd taste the same. Though most of the times yogurt is the flavoured one and is available in variable colours (Strawberry yogurt, mango and so on). Curd is the natural one we make from milk without any additions.

I had been in Australia, Sydney to be precise for a short visit recently and found yogurt made of sheep milk or goat milk is very popular there. People generally do not know much about curd there.
