Poorna Matsyendra Asana

(The complete spinal twist posture)

How to do it ?

Sit on the ground and keep the left foot on the right thigh as you do in padma asana.

The heel of the left foot should press the naval and abdomen.

Now raise your right foot and plays it beside left knee.

The right foot should be firmly placed on the ground.

Keep your left hand straight and hole the right knee and the right hand should be place on your back.

Twist your body to right.

Remain in this posture for five to ten seconds.

Then change the position of your left and right alternatively and follow the same procedure explained above.

How to synchronize your breath?

Exhale while you are twisting your body.

Maintain normal breathing in the final posture.

In hale when you return to normal position.

What are its benefits?

All the benefits of Ardha Matyeendra asana could be derived from this asana also.

This asana compress firmly the alimentary canal and almost all the viscera lying in the thorax,the abdomen and the pelvis.

When this asana is properly done the entire body is fully exercised and stimulated.

When deep breathing maintained in the final posture the blood circulation is activated to all the glands and viscera from thyroid down to penis, and also the sex glands.

Improves digestion and assimilation of food.

Cures dyspepsia.

Destroys worms found in the alimentary canal.

It is an excellent asana to maintain perfect health, sound sex life longevity.
