Potatoes is today almost favorite of everybody and used in almost in every dish, recipe and almost in every part of world. Along with being tasty potato has lot of health benefits by providing essential nutrients and vitamins which your body needs to remain healthy and strong.

The health benefits of potatoes are as follow-

1. Potatoes contain good amount of carbohydrates needed by the body to run its various body functions. Carbohydrates provide good amount of energy to body on catabolism which is needed to run its various body functions.

2. Potatoes also contain good amount of potassium needed by the central nervous system of body for its optimum functioning.

3. Potatoes also contain fiber, so therefore it helps in replenishing the roughage requirement of the body for its optimum functioning of digestive system. Roughage removes constipation.

4. Potatoes also contain iron so anemic patients can eat it to have iron along with having its yummy taste in food.

5. Potatoes also contain copper and zinc needed by body for its optimum functioning.

6. As it contain less fat and are easily digestible, so therefore, they are good option to eat for the patient who is on light diet which is needed to be easily digestible.
