(The wheel Posture)



How to do it ?





Lie on your back with feet well apart.

Bend your legs and arms and your palms on the floor a little behind your head.

Fingers pointing towards the feet. Then with an effort raise your body above the ground and make an arch of your body.

Your entire body should rest on your feet and hands.

How to synchronize your breath?



Inhale while you are raising your body from the ground and when you make an arch of your body. Retain in that position as long as you are able to retain the breath.

Exhale when you resume your normal position. Once you have attained mastery in performing this asana you stay in the posture for a long duration having normal breathing.

What are its benefits ?



Facilitates so maintain the flexibility of the spine even during old age.

Beneficial to the entire nervous and glandular system.

Develops the muscles of back,neck,spine and shoulders.

Activates the intestine.

A person practicing this asana will be alert and energetic.
