Everyone knows that there are five elements in the universe. These are water, earth, air, fire and sky. Human body is part of universe so it is made with these five elements. Human brain is a puzzle till the day for scientists.

We used our hands to do work. But we are not aware with the hidden immense power for keeping is well and worthy. Acupressure is popular one therapy in these days. In this therapy hands and feet are used. One touch therapy is Mudra therapy.

In some health problems we have not need of any medicine. Our body is made of five elements viz. fire, air, sky, earth and water. Our thumb represent fire element and other fingers Index, Middle, Ring and last are representative of Air, Sky, Earth and water respectively.

Indian saints and scientist accepted it that some electromagnetic waves come out from the tips of our fingers. By twisting and pressing fingers and touching with thumbs one can balance five basic elements of body.

Position of hands is called mudra. Mudra is various. Some from these are: Gyan Mudra, Akash Mudra, Prithvi Mudra, Varun Mudra, Shunya Mudra, Surya Mudra, Pran Mudra, Apan Mudra, Ling Mudra, Shankha Mudra and Veetrag Mudra.

To get good benefits of Hast Mudras one must be follow some rules. These are:-
1. Mudras can be done any time and also in any posture. Although these are more useful to be done in lotus, diamond and simple cross legged positions, but these are no matter whether a person is walking speaking or doing any work.

2. Mudras should be dome with both hands but specific circumstances can be done only by one hand. Mudras made by left hand affect right potion of the body and right hand affect left side of the body.

3. Pressure in making mudra should be slighted. Extra fingers should be kept straight in easy way.

4. Mudras should be done for 45 minutes. If it is not possible it can be dome in pieces. These can also be done for twice in the morning and evening for about 15 minutes respectively. Time can be bounded according the intensity of illness. Application of mudra even for a while vibrates our minute nervous system and psychic centers.

5. Some Mudras should be done only the time of illness. After cure some mudras may be harmful. These are Shunya and Vayu mudra.

6. Some mudras can be done for more and more time like Pran mudra,Gyan mudra, Apane mudra and Prithvi mudra.

7. Shankh mudra. Pran mudra and Apan mudra can be done after the meals.

8. Some mudras affect at once like Shunya mudra and Apan mudra.

9. Mudra can be done with other therapy.

Some useful mudras

Gyan Mudra: It is helpful in curing brain problems. In this mudra the tip of index touches with the tip of thumbs with light pressure. Other fingers have to be straight easily.
Askash Mudra: It is helpful is curing heart problems. In the mudra the tips of middle finger touch with the tips of thumb with mild pressure. In this mudra other finger must have to be straight without stress.
