Diamond Jewelries

Diamond jewelries are very much in demand together with gold jeweleries these days. The young generation is very much inclined towards diamond jewelries. But the fact is that most of the common people are high priced or cheated while buying diamond jewelry. Therefore, you need to keep certain things in mind while purchasing diamond jewelries.

Point no 1.

First, you need to see if the diamond jewelery which you are purchasing has the IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate or not. You need to make sure about it irrespective of the fact whether you intend to purchase a high priced diamond jewelry or just a simple one. This certificate would contain the narration about the shape, cut, carat, clarity and quantity of the diamond you are planning to purchase. Besides, it also contain the photograph of the diamond you are purchasing. Now-a-days, even big jewelers hands over a guarantee certificate of their institute rather than the IGI certificate. You need to keep in mind that the third party certificate, that is, the IGI certificate is a must have when purchasing jeweleries. Individual institute certificate is not always reliable because every shop which deals with the selling of jeweleries will always write good things about their jeweleries. The IGI certificate is a symbol of purity of your jewelery thorough out the world. In future, if you for a sale or exchange you will get the best price for the same.

Point no 2.

Most of us while purchasing diamond jeweleries only check about the purity of diamonds. We often forget to check about the purity of gold. The sellers or the businessmen here takes advantage of this fact. Normally, a diamond jewelery is made of 18 carat of gold. Therefore, while purchasing one you need to find out if it has 18 carat of hallmark or not.

Point No 3.

Most of us prefer to use silver color diamond jeweleries instead of golden color. In this case too one needs to be very careful. You do not need to purchase a white metal but a white gold with certificate. Later, you can have the white gold polished golden according to your need.

Point no 4.

As far as design is concerned, diamond can be embedded with golden gold or white gold. The fact to be kept in mind here is that the less metal is exposed or visible will make the jewelery shine that much more.

Point no 5.

One should not make a diamond jewelery with less amount of gold. The minimum amount of gold that is required should be used otherwise it might tear and lost very easily.

Point no 6.

Now-a-days, most of the jewelers are making different types of diamond jeweleries in changeable system. This is good because this will give you an opportunity to wear the same jewelery in different designs. This is indeed a very good concept for one and all.

Platinum jewelries

Platinum is the most precious metal on earth. Therefore, you need to be very careful while purchasing platinum jeweleries.

Point no 1.

First, you need to make it sure that from the shop you are purchasing platinum jeweleries has the certificate of retailing from the platinum guild. This will make it clear if the shop which is selling platinum jeweleries is an authorized seller of platinum jeweleries or not.

Point no 2.

Every platinum jewelery has an UNI or unique identification number card or certificate. You need to find out if this certificate of the platinum guild is with the seller or not.

Point no 3.

You also need to find out if the PGI logo or PT 950 marking given by the platinum guild is there or not.. The PGI logo or the PT 950 marking is a guarantee of 90 percent purity of diamond jeweleries.

Point no 4.

As far as design is concerned, sleek diamond jeweleries have a very sophisticated look. It also does not take much to buy because the sleek ones are less expensive to buy. Platinum is a known to be a strong metal therefore even if a necklace is slim there is a very less chance of it getting torn and lost. This is also strong for stone settings. Platinum jeweleries can hold diamond stones or any other stones properly.

Point no 5.

If you are planning to buy platinum diamond setting jewelry, then you need to check the platinum as well as the diamond jewelery certificates.

Point no 6.

You need to understand everything by going through the bill. You do not need to fell shy or bad about it as a customer or a buyer you have the right to get explained and clarified with your questions before you finally decide to buy. You need to understand what is going on and if you are going to get a fair deal with a particular shop dealing with the sale of jeweleries. It is the responsibility of the seller to explain you everything clearly.
