Do you want to score high marks? Every student dreams of getting high marks in examinations. There are several techniques to score high marks. The very best tips are provided below. A student who follows the tips will certainly score higher.

1. Study in a quiet place. Silent surroundings help the brain to concentrate better. Concentration helps the student to absorb the matter quickly. This will help during the time of exam and more marks can be got. The brain should be trained to concentrate and absorb in a fast pace. This can be done only if the surroundings are quiet. Studying in a place where people make noise, where the television blares and other situations like that will not help a student to learn easily. Therefore silence is very important. Some students may claim to learn with the help of music, but ear phones and other such things are very harmful to the ear if there is prolonged use.

2. Prepare well for the exam. There is nothing that can substitute hard work. Studying from the beginning of an academic year will help a student remember all the portions that were taught with precision. Such students who prepare well will not have to undergo tension or stress at the time of examinations. A student with a clear mind will be able to score more in exams.

3. Make short notes. Doing so will help a student to remember facts and figures well. Breaking long answers into short notes and studying them is easier than remembering pages of answers. These notes can be written by hand in notebooks. Writing five times is equivalent to ten times of reading the same answer. Writing will help a person remember fast.

4. Drawing will help in remembering. Making charts and diagrams is good because a clear picture is formed. This will also help during exams when a student has to recollect facts suddenly. Visual images are better in conveying the message more vividly.

5. Additional reading helps a kid to understand the whole picture. Often, students are taught just facts. No additional information is provided which leaves a vague picture in the mind of the student. This will not help get more marks for exams. Therefore it is better to read about the subject and know more about it before attending the exam.
