Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 125.5 x 67 x 8.7 mm. It weighs about 122 gram. It has touch sensitive controls. The type of the touch screen is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 16M colours. IPS LCD allows for very accurate colour reproduction and very wide angling views, where no significant image quality loss is observed. The screen size is 4.3 inches with approximately 217 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 480 x 800 pixels. The touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.


The phone comes with microSD card slot. The slot supports upto 32 GB microSD memory card. The internal memory of the phone is also good. It comes with 4GB internal memory. But the user can only access 2.4GB internal memory. The remaining internal memory is reserved. It also comes with 512MB Random Access Memory.


The phone comes with Android OS, v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It also comes with 1 GHz Cortex-A5 Central Processing Unit. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. Some more powerful smartphones use dual core and quad core processors. But this phone uses only single core processor. The GPU is Adreno 200. The chipset is Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragont. It has sensors like Accelerometer, proximity, and compass. It has Stereo FM radio. It is available in two colours – Black and White. It supports MicroSIM card. It has key features like SNS Integration, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Organizer, MP4/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/WMA player, Video/Photo ediotor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa Integration, Voice memo/dial/commands, Predictive text inputs (Swype), Document editor and Document Viewer.


LG Optimus L7 P700 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS Class 12 versions in order to connect to cellular networks. It is easy to get access to Internet through both Wi-Fi networks as well as HSPDA connections. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly.


The set has a very powerful camera. It comes with 5 Megapixel primary camera. The camera has the resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The picture quality is superb. The features such as autofocus, LED flash are also available. Other features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. It also has a secondary camera with 0.3 MP (VGA Camera) on the front to make video calls.


The phone is powered by standard Li-Ion 1700 mAh battery. The stand by time provided by the battery is up to 600 hours in 2G networks and up to 720 hours in 3G networks. The talk time is up to 8 hours in 2G networks and up to 5 hours 50 minutes in 3G networks. The stand by time and talk time are good for a smart phone.
