The Samsung GALAXY Note is the first phone to go over the 5-inch screen mark with its 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of the whopping 800 x 1280 pixels.

Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 146.9*83*9.7 mm. It weighs about 178 gram. It has touch sensitive controls. The type of the touch screen is Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with 16M colours. The screen size is 5.3 inches with approximately 285 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 800 x 1280 pixels. The touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass – TouchWiz UI v4.0.

Memory:

The phone comes with microSD card slot. The slot supports upto 32 GB microSD memory card. 2GB memory card is included in the package. The internal memory of the phone is also good. It comes with 16GB and 32GB internal memory. The user does not need extra memory card as the internal memory itself is very high. The user can store his favourite music, videos, movies etc with its 16GB internal storage itself. It also comes with 1GB Random Access Memory.

Features:

The phone comes with Android OS, v2.3.5 (Gingerbread) but it can be upgraded to v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It also comes with 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Central Processing Unit. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. Some more powerful smartphones use dual core and quad core processors. This phone uses dual core processor. The GPU is Mali 400MP. The chipset is Exynos. It has sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, barometer, proximity, and compass. It has Stereo FM radio with RDS. It is available in three colours – Black, Pink and White. It supports MicroSIM card. It has key features like S – Pen Stylus, SNS Integration, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Organizer, DivX/XviDMP4/WMV/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+/WMA player, Video/Photo ediotor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa Integration, Voice memo/dial/commands, Predictive text inputs (Swype), Document editor and Document Viewer.

Connectivity:

Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS Class 12 versions in order to connect to cellular networks. It is easy to get access to Internet through both Wi-Fi networks as well as HSPDA connections. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly.

Camera:

The set has a very powerful camera. It comes with 8 Megapixel primary camera. The camera has the resolution of 3264*2448 pixels. The picture quality is superb. The features such as autofocus, LED flash are also available. Other features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. It also has a secondary camera with 2MP on the front to make video calls.

Battery:

The phone is powered by standard Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery. The stand by time provided by the battery is up to 960 hours in 2G networks and up to 820 hours in 3G networks. The talk time is up to 26 hours 10 minutes in 2G networks and up to 13 hours 30 minutes in 3G networks. The stand by time and talk time are good for a smart phone.

Price:

The maximum retail price of Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 in India is Rs.35000. But it is available for the price of Rs.30500 in most of the online retailing sites.

I need atleast 45 minutes to write this article. I am writing cell phone reviews here are common for all cellphones. So I edit an article in ms word with suitable informations and after that paste the article here. It helps to reduce time. But now too I need 30 minutes to edit and paste an article here. However I enjoy writing gadget reviews.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is going to be released next month. All the cellphone lovers are having an eye on that. I am sure that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also be a super hit like its predecessor. I am also waiting for its release.
