Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 116 x 63.5 x 11 mm. It weighs about 98 grams. The type of the touch screen is TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. In capacitive touchscreens, we can't use usual stylus. Capacitive touchscreens will work only if we touch using a conductor. Our body is a conductor. So we should use our fingers to work with capacitive touchscreen phones. The screen size is 3.5 inches with approximately 165 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 320 x 480 pixels. The phone has touch sensitive controls.

It has multitouch feature also. Multitouch refers to the ability of a touch sensing surface to recognize the presence of two or more points of contact with the touch sensing surface.

Memory:

The phone comes with microSD card slot. The external memory can be extended up to 32GB. It also comes with 512MB Random Access Memory and 512MB Read Only Memory. The features of the phonebook include Unlimited entries, Caller groups, Multiple numbers per contact, Search by both first and last name, Picture ID, Ring ID etc.

Features:

The phone comes with Android OS, v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) Operating System. It also comes with 800 MHz Central Processing Unit. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. The Chipset is MediaTek MT6573. The GPU is PowerVR SGX531. It has sensors like Accelerometer, proximity and compass.

GPS is also available with A-GPS support. Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. Java is available via Java MIDP emulator. It does not have Stereo FM radio.

It is available in only one colour – White. It supports MicroSIM card. It has key features like SNS integration, MP3/WAV/WMA/AAC+ player, Divx/MP4/WMV/H.263/H.264 player, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Document viewer, Photo viewer/editor, Organizer, Voice memo/dial, Predictive text input etc.

Business Features:

The Business features of the phone include watch, stop watch, alarm, calculator, organizer, calendar, flight mode, data and fax etc. Extra features of the phone include Screensaver, themes, voice dial, loud speaker, recorder, vibra etc.

Connectivity:

Motorola Motoluxe XT389 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS Class 12 version technologies in order to connect to cellular networks. But it is easy to get access to Internet through both Wi-Fi networks as well as HSPDA connections. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly. NFC is not available.

Camera:

The set has a powerful camera. It comes with 3.15 Megapixel primary camera. The resolution of the camera is 2048x1536 pixels. The picture quality is not so impressive. There is no secondary camera on the front to make video calls. The camera records videos with the resolution of 480p and at the rate of 30fps.

Battery:

The phone is powered by standard Li-Ion 1390 mAh battery. The stand by time is up to 260 hours and the talk time is up to 5 hours.
