Body and Display:

The dimensions of the phone are 118.3 x 66.5 x 9.5 mm. It weighs about 125 grams. The type of the touch screen is TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colours. In capacitive touchscreens, we can't use usual stylus. Capacitive touchscreens will work only if we touch using a conductor. Our body is a conductor. So we should use our fingers to work with capacitive touchscreen phones. The screen size is 4.0 inches with approximately 144 ppi pixel density. The screen resolution of the phone is 320 x 480 pixels.

It has multitouch feature also. Multitouch refers to the ability of a touch sensing surface to recognize the presence of two or more points of contact with the touch sensing surface.

Memory:

The phone comes with microSD card slot. The external memory can be extended up to 32GB. The internal memory of the phone is also good. It comes with 4 GB internal memory. But only 2.5 GB is available to the users. Remaining memory is reserved. It also comes with 512 MB Random Access Memory. The features of the phonebook include Unlimited entries, Caller groups, Multiple numbers per contact, Search by both first and last name, Picture ID, Ring ID etc.

Features:

The phone comes with Android OS, v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. It also comes with 800 MHz Cortex-A5 Central Processing Unit. The processor is the main computing component of a phone and is a major factor when it comes to the overall speed of the device. Some more powerful smartphones use dual core and quad core processors. This phone uses a single core processor only. The GPU is Adreno 200. The chipset is Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon. It has sensors like Accelerometer, proximity and compass.

GPS is also available with A-GPS support. Global Positioning System is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. Java is available via Java MIDP 2.1 emulator. It has Stereo FM radio.

It is available in two colours – Black and White. It supports MicroSIM card. It has key features like SNS integration, MP4/DivX/Xvid/H.264/H.263 player, MP3/WAV/eAAC+ player, Document viewer, Organizer, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Voice memo/dial, Predictive text input etc.

Business Features:

The Business features of the phone include watch, alarm, calculator, organizer, calendar, flight mode, data and fax etc. Extra features of the phone include Screensaver, themes, voice dial, loud speaker, recorder, vibra etc.

Connectivity:

LG Optimus L5 E610 utilizes both EDGE and GPRS technologies in order to connect to cellular networks. But it is easy to get access to Internet through both Wi-Fi networks as well as HSPDA connections. It has the facility of Bluetooth connection and micro USB which help to connect with other hardware devices directly or indirectly. NFC is also available. Near field communication (NFC) is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimetres. Present and anticipated applications include contactless transactions, data exchange, and simplified setup of more complex communications such as Wi-Fi. Communication is also possible between an NFC device and an unpowered NFC chip, called a "tag".

Camera:

The set has a very powerful camera. It comes with 5 Megapixel primary camera. The camera has the resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. The picture quality is superb. LED flash feature is available. Other features of the camera include auto focus, geo-tagging, fixed focus etc. There is no secondary camera on the front to make video calls. The phone records videos at the speed of 30fps.

Battery:

The phone is powered by standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery. The stand by time provided by the battery is up to 900 hours in 2G and 3G networks. The talk time is up to 10 hours in 2G networks and up to 9 hours 20 minutes in 3G networks. The stand by time and talk time are good for a smart phone like this.

Market Status:

This model was announced on February, 2012. It was released on June, 2012.
