The overall resolution of the iPhone 4 and the Smartphone tag made the phone quite popular amongst the masses. Ever since its release, it has been a phone that is of the highest resolution being in the Smartphone category.

Weight and dimension
This Apple product weighs as light as only 137 grams. With the dimensions of 115.2 mm x 58.6 mm x 9.3 mm, the phone is one of the slimmest in its category. The lightweight and the dimensions do not come in the way of the smooth handling of the phone.

The phone is compatible with both the 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) as well as the 3G (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100) network.

The Retina
Apple has termed the screen display as the Retina technology. The reason is pretty simple and straightforward. The human eye can distinguish about 330 ppi – pixels per inch, while the Smartphone has a capacity of displaying 326 ppi. No wonder, it gives a smooth viewing experience.

With iPhone 4 comes with two cameras – the primary and the secondary. With the primary camera, which is 5MP, you can easily do a video calling. It has a resolution of 2592 x 1936 pixels. It comes with autofocus and LED flash.
With 30 fps (frames per second) and 720p, it gives you a smooth video shooting. The Retina technology is there to aid the soft viewing.
The secondary camera, which is the VGA camera, has a resolution of 480p and can be used for making video calls, but only through Wi-Fi.

The internal memory of the Apple iPhone 4 comes with options of storage capacities like 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB. The RAM is of 512 MB. The downside of the gadget is that there is no card slot for it.

There is a decent amount of battery backup for the iPhone 4. On the 2G network as well as the 3G network, you can get a stand-by time of up to 300 hours. If you are on the phone, the talk time will be of up to 14 hours for the 2G and up to 7 hours with the 3G network.

GPRS, EDGE WLAN and Bluetooth are the connectivity options for the iPhone 4. All the available options make the iPhone compatible with any of the available options.

iPhone uses the OS 4, which is upgradable to iOS 5.1. The CPU in the phone is the 1 GHz Cortex-A8. Messaging options vary like MMS, Push Mail, Email and iMessage. The Safari browser comes preloaded with the iPhone 4. In the Java section there are lots of facilities like the iCloud cloud service, Audio/video player and editor, Twitter integration and Image editor among many other features.
