Simple Exercise Tips to Make You Look and Feel Younger !

Poor posture can affect our breathing as well causing other complications that can be easily avoided with a little forethought and planning.


When you are doing everything right for your system there is no way you are going to look old and haggard.However most of us are unaware of the picture we present to the world. We may have tried walking, running,jumping and dieting to get fit, but, have not got the expected results . The reason could be that we are not doing the right things or right moves that show positive results.

So, now, try this low- impact workout which guarantees a stronger,younger and fitter looking body that you have always dreamed about. It is possible with a little bit of effort and dedication and without having to go to a gym ! It is never too late to correct the situation with some simple corrections to our stance and the result - you can drop a dozen pounds and a decade in the way you look.

The following routine recommended by some health experts focuses on developing proper alignment and increasing muscle strength, flexibility and balance.It is advisable to begin with the first three exercises which are the fundamentals of a good posture...

1,First move or the Foundation Posture as it is called

Stand erect keeping your chin up,making sure that your shoulders are squared. Tighten your abdominal muscles and keep your pelvis slightly downward and your feet should be flat, placed directly under your hips.Now once you got your posture right, breath in , hold your breath for 8 seconds or count 8 and breath out . Do this at least 15 times to begin with gradually increasing it to 30 or more if you can. This should be done everyday when ever you find time and gradually your posture improves and keeping yourself erect becomes a natural habit ..

2, Second Move or the seconday move

From the Foundation posture, bent forward slightly at your hips until your feel your hams trings being stretched. Your head and neck should be in line with your spine and your arms should be reaching slightly behind you.Pause for a few seconds and squeeze your hamstrings and buttocks and then strighten yourself .Repeat this 3-5 times making sure that your upper body is aligned each time. This move is helpful in making your body flexible and supple.

3, Activation Moves which help in muscle tightening

Standing in the foundation posture press your big toes into the ground until you feel your thigh muscles contract.Focus on maintaining this muscle activation as you relax your toes. Keep your hands on your hips and bend your knees, bowing slightly ,place your right heel in front of you, flexing your right foot. Squeezing your hamstrings and buttocks, return your right foot to standing position and repeat this with your left heel as well.

Do this 20 times on alternate feet,keeping your abs and lower body activated.Do this 10 times to begin with gradually increasing it or doing it whenever you find time in between your work schedule. This move is excellent for tightening the muscles around the thigh,buttocks and stomach thereby making your body fitter and agile.

Once you get the first three moves right , one can go on to other more complicated moves which will further help you tone your body and keep it fit . In fact, if one gets these simple exercise routine right, one can see a lot of change in the posture and the general appearance within a matter of 3-4 weeks !

Finally, most of us have the habit of looking at ourselves when we walk past a store window or a mirror and wish we looked different - without the slouch, bulging hips,arms and belly !Instead we wish we could see a fit, confident and graceful reflection of ourselves which is definitely possible with some effort !

Most of the time we are totally unaware of the picture we present to the world. We move around with our heads bent, immersed in thoughts carrying the weight of our worries on our hunched shoulders and the result - we end up looking Old,defeated, tired and out of shape. Our parents were right when they constantly said ' stand up straight and dont slouch ' during our growing years . Poor posture can affect our breathing as well causing other complications that can be easily avoided with a little forethought and planning. It is never too late to start making amends now and start your exercise routine which combined with a healthy diet can work wonders for you !
