6. Rapid breathing with localized pleuritic chest pain. Pain extends to shoulder or abdominal wall.

7. Rusty colored sputum but sometimes occasionally blood stained.

8. Homogenous consolidation of one or more lobes of lungs. Diminished respiratory movements. Pleural effusion in later complicated cases.


1. WBC count test.

2. Blood culture.

3. Sputum test.

4. Sputum culture.

5. Chest X-ray.

6. Serological test.
