Review of Sony Xperia P

After Sony broke away from Ericsson, the first gadget they brought in the market was the Xperia S.

         

After the arrival of this gadget, there is a range of models that Sony will be brining in the market. The good thing is that Sony will have the handsets in almost all the price slots. Here is the second model from the house of Sony – the Sony Xperia P. Let’s review it.
The design and the build
The design of the Sony Xperia P is more or less the same as the Sony Xperia S. the difference is that the Sony Xperia P is a tad longer than the previous model. It uses the aluminium chassis as against the plastic one. It looks good to feel the phone in the hands. The presence of the phone can be easily felt in the hands as you can easily get the feel of it.
The screen
The Sony Xperia P comes with a TFT capacitive touchscreen. The screen is smooth and gives a good handling experience when you actually use it. The 4” screen has a 275 ppi pixel density. You will find a screen resolution of 960 X 540. The screen is scratch-resistant as well as carries shatter proof sheet on mineral glass.
The camera
The camera in the Sony Xperia P can serve you in a lot of ways. It has powerful 8MP clarity to give you crystal clear pictures. The 3264 X 2448 pixels help in this. There is the autofocus enabled in the phone’s camera and comes in LED flash. It also comes in face detection as well as smile detection. The good thing is that there is 3D Sweep Panorama view as well.
You can zoom any picture up to 8 times. The video resolution and the frame rate is 1080 and 30fps. There is also a 0.3 MP front facing camera.
The memory
The Sony Xperia P has an internal memory of 16GB and it comes with 1GB of RAM. There is a chance of increasing the memory with the help of the MicroSD card. So this extended memory can be extended up to 30GB.
The Battery
The Li-Ion battery powers this Sony gadget and comes with a capacity of 1305 (mAh). With the standard battery you can get a talk time of around 6 hours on the 2G network and 5 hours on the 3G network.
As far as the standby time is concerned, there is not much difference. On the 2G network you will get around 470 hours and 5 hours more on the 3G network.
The processor and the OS
The Sony gadget comes with a U8500 dual core processor. As mentioned above, with 1GB RAM, it gives you fast and quick processing of the commands. The speed of the processing is 1GHz. The Sony Xperia P works on the Android OS v2.3.
Weight and Dimensions
The dimensions of the Xperia P are 59.5 X 10.5 X 122 mm. With an amazing weight of 120 grams, the Xperia P is one of the lightest gadgets available today. The QWERTY keyboard makes typing fast and easy.
Other features
There are plenty of other features that can be mentioned in the Xperia P. it comes with FM radio with RDS. You will get Bluetooth connection to transfer your data. Email, Push Email, SMS, IM, and MMS are the five types of messaging services available.
With the WebKit web browser you can do surfing quite easily. The Pan and Zoom feature makes it even more interesting and you easily get hooked. The gadget comes in red, silver and black colors.

Oh I didn''t know that you had also written about a similar topic. But I don''t think there should be any comparison. Both of us write with different thoughts and without talking to anyone before writing. In fact, our talking means commenting on the articles like we do here. So, all the articles are unique, in my opinion.
