Review of the LG Optimus 4X HD

After announcing the LG Optimus 4X HD as early as February this year, it was only after two months that the phone reached India.

         

The LG gadget is being tagged as the best by the company until now. You name it and you have it in this Smartphone.
The built
Do not get under the wrong impression as soon as you see the phone. If you think that the phone is not as perfectly designed as you would have liked it, give it another thought. It is not a cheap model at all. The built of the phone is great and comes in a couple of colors. The silver rim surrounds the phone on all sides. The back of the phone is matte covering. So this is the feel good factor for the phone.
The screen
The LG device has a 4.7” display with a screen resolution of 720 X 1280. The colors on the screen look smooth and feel pleasant when viewing. It is the IPS display with three backlit buttons. The HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is of A1 quality.
The processor
The phone is powered by 1.5GHz quad core Tera 3 processor. The phone comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. That should give you enough support to keep yourself engaged all the day through.
The memory and OS
The LG gadget comes with 16GB of memory along with a powerful 1GB RAM. With the help of the microSD card, you can increase the memory up to 32GB. The LG Optimus 4X HD runs the Android 4.0.
The camera
The LG Optimus 4X HD comes with two cameras – the one to the back and the front as well. The 8MP camera is great as it gives you loads of clarity and smooth pictures. The videos recorded through this gadget look professional in quality. There is the 1.3MP front-facing camera that you can use for video calling.
The phone comes with the geo-tagging facility. Apart from that it also has the face and smile detection, image stabilization and touch focus features as well.
The weight and dimensions
The dimensions of the phone are 132.4mm X 68.1 mm X 8.9 mm. The LG Optimus weighs only 133 grams. So it is easy to handle.
The battery
The Li-lon battery with a capacity of 2150 mAh gives enough backup. You can get a talktime of up to 552 hours on the 2G network and 630 on the 3G. The standby time for the 2G network is 730 hours and for 3G it is 686 hours.
Among some other important built in apps, you can get Google Search, Gmail, Gtalk and YouTube as well.
