Tips for Stain removal

1,If you accidentally spill some curry ,wine or coffee on your expensive dress while dining out at a restaurant, request the waiter to get some white vinegar which is always available in their kitchen.Head to the wash room and first of all rinse the stain spot under the tap .Blend the white vinegar with a few drops of water and a small amount of liquid soap that is normally kept in the wash room, and dab the spot with a hand kerchief and rinse .Do this a couple of times until the stain becomes lighter. Wipe off and continue your dinner.

Once you reach home add some vinegar to warm water along with the soap detergent and dip the stained material in the solution for a few minutes after which you can rinse in warm water and dry the dress by hanging out in a shady place.

2, If your white linen or tablecloth gets stained – soak the stained part in some cool water and rub gently until the stain becomes light.In a small bowl mix some washing bleach liquid with a pinch of detergent powder and a few drops of water .Mix well and apply on the effected area .Leave it for half an hour after which wash as normal . If you do not have liquid bleach use the juice of a lime .

Beauty Tips

Use mother nature's bounties to enhance your looks.Every single fruit and some vegetables too can help us in our beauty treatment.

1, In a bowl, mash a few strawberries with 2 tablespoonful of yogurt and mix well. Apply this mixture all over your face and on your neck except around the eyes. Leave it on for 15 minutes after which rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
If strawberries are not available you can use either mangoes,tomatoes or papayas using the same method.

2,For an excellent face pack, mash the pulp of one tomato and add besan or gram flour and a few drops of lime juice.Mix well and apply all over your face and neck.Let it become firm which should take at least 20 -25 minutes after which rinse your face with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel..

3, Washing your face with very hot water has immense benefits - splash hot water on to the face and alternatively splash cold water which helps in firming up your skin and done regularly decreases the formation of wrinkles and lines on your facial skin.

4, For a home made conditioner that is very effective on your hair try this - Take a bowl of fresh rose petals , add 1 cup of boiling hot water on it and let it stand for half an hour.In a blender combine I chopped banana,1 tablespoonful of honey,one tablespoonful of almond oil and the rose petals and the water and blend to a smooth paste.
Massage this into your scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes after which rinse with warm water...If there is any left over conditioner , you can refrigerate it and use it even after a week.

Dark circles and crows feet under the eyes

Dark circles,crows feet and wrinkles under and around the eyes are a common feature when you dont get enough sleep for a long period of time, or your diet is not weel balanced.Darek circles,bags under the eyes and crw feet make you look much older than you actually are.Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water and other fluids and eat plenty of raw vegetables and fruits which takes take care of half the problem .

Gently Massaging the area around the eye with Vitamin E oil or a Vitamin E cream is vey beneficial. Make it a practice to do this at bed time every night and you will see the difference within a matter of days !

Sore Throat

Mix half a teaspoonful of salt in a glass of hot water along with a pinch of pure turmeric powder and mix well.Gargle your mouth with this water several times for a minute or so. Repeat this three to four times a day and you will notice the difference.
Why it works is because salt and turmeric both have anti - biotic qualities , the hot water mixed with the two ,sterilizes the bacteria in the back of your throat and promotes the healing of inflamed tissues .

A few Egg facts

1, The colour of the shell does not effect the quality of the egg as it is normally believed nor its nutritional value, so it is not right to say that brown eggs are healthier !

2, Similarly a darker looking yolk does not mean that it is more nutritious since the color depends only on the feed the hen consumes.

3,The yolk contains most of the vitamins and minerals, nearly half the protein content and also the fat and cholesterol..

4, Those who are health and diet conscious need not give up on whole eggs since they lose out on the nutritive values .Instead buy smaller eggs which reduces our intake by almost 15 -20% .It is advisable to have not more than 3-4 small eggs per week, or 2 large eggs per week.

5, You get the maximum benefit out of an egg when you soft boil it !In fact it is better to add soft boiled aggs to curries and gravies instead of hard boiled eggs.After adding the eggs to the hot curry sauce eggs cook some more and become harder.
