The lesson from lotus

October 11, 2012  by: Paulose  Points: 12   Category: Inspirational Stories    Views: 381

The lotus is standing in water throughout the day. But the flower never takes a headbath! There are many people like that!

Haiku

Standing in water throughout day

Never takes a shower

Pond beauty lotus!

The water plant lotus is standing up in water day and night. But it never takes a bath until it falls dead. The leaves of this flower are untouched by water though they float on water.
Lotus is considered as the most beautiful flower.

Lotus is the national flower of spiritual India. Hindus believe that the lotus flower belongs to Lord Brahma, the creator divinity part of the Hindu trinity and the main source of all space, time, causation, and all forms. Hindu mythology says that Lord Brahma was born from a lotus flower springing from Lord Vishnu’s navel.

Untouched by the worldly mire

There are many upright people in the world who are not carried away by the whims and fancies of the world. They do their duties perfectly without any distraction.
Looking up at heaven the flower is standing straight. Wind may blow heavily and try to topple it down. But the flower gets up again in its upright position. There are people who do their duties with faith in God. The mud and mire down in the water do not spoil the beauty of the flower.

The lesson of lotus

Masaru Emoto, the Japanese author and entrepreneur, says his famous work titled, “The Secret Life of Water” that when you feel weak, disappointed and lost, return to yourself, and see who you are and that when you reach your innermost, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.

Standing straight in the water of this world, show the beauty of your love and affection. Share your love with others without greed or jealousy and not carried away by the selfishness of the world.
