Mughal monuments still singing the glory of India

The immortal monuments that the Mughals have left are singing their glory. Their stable and prosperous empire could expose the great riches of literature, art, architecture and culture to the whole world. Their Taj Mahal and other buildings portray their passion in architecture. Being the Imperial power of Southeast Asia, the Mughals united east and west through their Indo-Persian culture. This influence led them to the spectacular achievement of creating immortal monuments and expansion of knowledge in the sphere of literature, art and culture.

Mughal monuments still witness their glory

Even after centuries, the jeweled arts of India are found elsewhere in the world, singing the glorious period of the Mughals.

1) The age of Jahangir and Shahjahan was really an envy of Europe. The British Ambassador who attended the birthday celebrations of Jahangir in 1617 was stunned at the appearance of the Emperor, laden with invaluable diamonds, pearls, emeralds, rubies, and so on. They could not even describe the glory of those matchless and astounding gemstones. Renowned Exhibitions and Museums of the world exhibit some of these Mughal treasures even today.

2) Diamond mining in India was at the peak during the Mughal rule, who encouraged gemstone trade. They were exported to European countries. World’s finest historic emeralds brought from Columbia, which adorned the Mughal crowns, are kept in some of the global exhibitions.

3) The famous diamond Kohinoor that had been dazzling from the crown of Mughal Emperors is now with the British Queen.

Monuments of the Mughals are scattered all over the world today, singing their immortal glory. They shine today from many corners of the world as the living monuments of Mughal Magnificence.
