A short review, about the Toshiba portable drive.

I discovered one of the easiest ways to add storage to my computer with Toshiba's Canvio Basics 3.0 portable hard drive. It offers one of the simplest storage solutions. Before I discovered this, I used to do lot of effort to store data using CD-ROM's and DVD-ROM's.
The hectic process required installation of burning software and consumed lot of time to copy entire hard disk data within the system to numerous disks. The other benefits of storing data in an external hard disk are, data is stored compact and safely, consuming least amount of time.

• It supports USB 3.0 port. Hence one can transfer the files fast with a shining speed. The higher the version of USB the data is transferred faster.
• It also supports USB 2.0, which is essential feature for those using old computers as the older version computers don’t support USB 3.0
• It has internal shock sensor which protect the hard drive. Thanks to a special internal shock sensor and ramp loading technology to guard against accidents and drops for greater peace of mind.
• It comes with 3 years warranty, which is another thing that makes the user peaceful for a long time.
• It doesn’t require any software installation, which makes the storage job easier.
• The compatibility and plug and play feature makes it easier to be carried anywhere with ease and connect to any computer to transfer data easily.

• It can store data up to 1 terabyte that is equal to approximately 227 DVD-ROM's. It is a very helpful feature for researchers, as they have lot of data , published papers, patents, software’s, etc, which can be stored easily and save from harm, in a one single storage device. It is also useful for students to store their important notes, data etc safely.
• It has a very high transfer rate of 5 GB/s, which lets you copy even some of the largest files from your PC to the drive faster than ever before.
• The rotational speed is 5,400RPM. This makes the copying of data faster.

System Requirements:

It supports the windows 2007, windows XP and Vista operating systems. These operating systems are user- friendly and usually used by many people. This is also a helpful feature.
For those who want easy, effective drag-and-drop storage to manage their growing data, the Canvio Basics 3.0 is a great solution, offering up to 1 terabyte of capacity, and powered by USB 3.0 technology. It’s also the perfect way to share or transport your digital content.
