Why did you Come here, O Cruel Sandy (poem)

November 05, 2012  by: Paulose  Points: 12   Category: Inspirational Stories    Views: 395

Sandy has devastated the eastern coast of America. The loss is beyond all expectations. Saddening every heart of the country and the world, the cruel hands of Sandy has played a devilish game of Halloween on the eastern states of America.

Why did sandy come at this crucial hour? To burden the people more? To spoil all their Halloween games like a disagreeing child? To add issues more and test the strength of the US at this important time of presidential election?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
With your cruel face and crushing hands?
Raging with fury and roaring waves
You spoiled the favorite seaside spots!

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
During these kids-loving Halloween days?
Did you want to a play game
A foul game making the kids to cry?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
Causing tears to the eyes of kids?
Did you play a childish game
Spoiling their castles they built on sand?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
And destroyed the beautiful Atlantic City
Was it your gambling that ravaged the area
That showed your sadism ending in cruelty?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
Adding burdens to American land?
Killing hundreds and injuring thousands
What did you gain in this national loss?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
Don’t you know that we love you winds?
But when you turn into a furious storm
Who can stop your monstrous force?

Why did you come here, O cruel Sandy
At this crucial hour of our national election?
What is your message that here you leave
By your horrible campaign of loss and damage?

Thousand Sandies may come and go
Nothing can shake our unity and strength
Joining hands in selfless love
And trusting in God we face you all!
