A review of the western digital portable hard drives that offer storage up to 2 TB.



These drives come with automatic backup software named WD SmartWare and WD security. The storage of data has become easier with these drives, as they backup the data automatically from the computer. You just need to plug the device to the computer and it starts working in the background and data is stored automatically. One need not worry about the regular and manual backup.

They offer you peace of mind as a copy of your data, may be important one, is always being saved in the drive. There is a risk of loosing data anytime, due to some unexpected system crash. • The drives are available in four types, 500 GB, 750 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB hard drives. One can choose according to the memory needed to store the personal data.

• They are available in five different colors, black, white, blue, silver and red. It has attractive themes like Midnight Black, Metallic Blue, Metallic Red, Cool Silver and Arctic White.

It does not require any software installation and thus one gets relieved from the hectic process of installing software to store the data on CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs.

• They support NTFS formatting.

• It supports win Xp, win vista, win 7 and win 8 operating systems. It is formatted with NTFS, to supports these operating systems.
