Has the Countdown for the December Doomsday Started?

November 26, 2012  by: Paulose  Points: 17   Category: Inspirational Stories    Views: 541

Has the Countdown for the Doomsday on 21 December, 2012 started? This time the rumors are stronger. This time the rumors are from four corners: human violence, nature, science and interpretations of God’s Word. But humanity is not for Doomsday; take courage, it is for a happy human life.

More and more rumors are coming in, discouraging humanity with talks about Doomsday. Mayan Calendar, some scientific studies, natural changes, global warming, disasters in the environment, negative attitude in human movements, etc. are given as evidences to strengthen this belief in Doomsday. The Bible and texts of other religions are quoted and interpreted to support these views. Has the countdown for the Doomsday of december, 2012 started?

Doomsday on 21 December 2012?

This time with strong rumors on the Doomsday, media channels are threatening people with unnecessary fears. The Mayan calendar seems to be the primary evidence for this prediction. It seems to be the oldest calendar found by the researchers. The journal “Science” says that the calculations project 7,000 years into the future and there is no hint that the calendar ends on 21 December, 2012, as it is popularly misinterpreted.

Mayan calendar which is also called the Aztec Calendar is recorded as a carving on the Aztec “sun stone” kept in the National Museum of Anthropology and History, in the Chapultepec Park, in Mexico City. It had been the Mayan calculation of years for a certain period of time just as any other calendar having cycles. It does not point out any end of the earth to create panic.

Interpretations of religious texts

Interpreting the Bible verses, especially The Book of Revelations, people say that the doom is at the door. Texts from other religions also point out that life on this earth will end one day. It will become a long essay to study this in detail. But these texts are not for threatening anyone. They are meant to prepare everyone for a better and happier life.

Modern science on Doomsday

People quote modern researches to support their panic theories. Do the alignment of planets, collision with Nibiru as per the Babylonian astronomy, the expected shifting of polar axis, changes in the magnetic field of the earth, frequent occurrences of recent natural calamities, etc. focus at the climactic end of the earth? To be sure, there have been some serious natural disasters over the past two decades. But such calamities have occurred throughout human history. It is certain that modern science does not say about the end of any Doomsday.

Be prepared for the best and the worst

Whether is is Doomsday or a mass death, every person has ti die one day. It is destined at the birth itself. Make everyday of life the happiest one by sharing love and life with others. By making others happy your life becomes happier. That is the karma which is going to accompany you when your life comes to an end.

No need of any panic and wasting time on creating panic everywhere. Doomsday is not to end life; it is to begin a life of love.

Humanity should end all the wars of selfishness and hatred. Forgiving and accepting others in universal brotherhood only can save anyone from the Doomsday.

Jesus himself has mentioned about this preparedness in so many places. “But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”(Mark 13:32)

End all panic. Repent for the past mishaps. Leave the future to God. Live just today righteously in love and hope.
