Gun Culture Has Become the Fun of the Day

December 17, 2012  by: Paulose  Points: 15   Category: Others    Views: 588

Gun has become a funny game today. Millions of children have written letters to Santa to bring them guns as gifts. Today, the whole world is shocked at the killing of twenty children and six adults in a shooting attack at a primary school in the US. Gun shooting killings are reported in the media often. What makes this gun culture spread all over the world?

Gun is not a weapon of protection today. It has become a toy of fun in the modern lifestyle. Even in countries where they have nothing to eat, they have guns to shoot. Killing people and destroying things have become the funny side of the modern games. Violence is spreading everywhere faster than fire. Do we need a Mayan calendar to calculate the end of the world? Is this gun culture not enough to wipe out humanity from this earth?

Shocking shooting at innocent children

LAtimes.com news reports that a gunman entered the Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown, and fired at students and staff in one section – two rooms – at the school. Bodies of 20 innocent elementary school children and 8 adults in the school were just torn mercilessly with the gun play of a single man! Connecticut State Police spokesman Paul Vance confirmed the death toll, making this the deadliest shooting in the recent history.

American President Barack Obama conveyed condolence to the bereaved of this tragedy. He burst in emotion saying, “Our hearts are broken today, for the parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers of these children, and for the families of the adults who were lost.” Citing this heart-rending incident, he has called for “meaningful action... regardless of politics”.

Another devastating Sandy incident!

After the cruel Sandy storm that killed hundreds in an unnatural fury, this time it is another “Sandy school” tragedy caused by a heartless man. Whatever may be the motive behind it, this shows the growing gun culture as a sign of total collapse. No Mayan Calendar is needed for the future total loss!

What leads to this gun culture spreading so fastly?

Christmas, the festival of peace and love, is around the corner. Children around the world are busy, compiling gift wish letters to be sent to Santa. Gun culture is spreading all over the world as a modern fashion game. Children write to Santa to bring them guns as Christmas gifts. Many of them have asked for toy guns and iPods. Here is an example from the www.guy-sports.com/humor:
Dear Kris Kringle,
Please give me a tank, a jet fighter, 20 green soldiers, and a bazooka gun. I'm planning a surprise attack on my brother. So don't tell anyone.
Thanks, Danny

Violence and terrorism is promoted by the profit minded media. Compassion and the emotion of empathy have no place among the growing generations. Where will all this end?

Gun culture has to be tackled immediately all over the world. It has to be be given more importance in parenting issues. The whole world should analyze seriously the results of this spreading gun culture.
