June 03, 2013  by: Adi  Points: 12   Category: Gadgets  Earning $0.50   Views: 796

The battle between Samsung and HTC is on the peak with the release of Samsung Galaxy S4. Here is a short comparison between HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

Beauty need not just be in the eyes of the beholder with the HTC One that seamlessly blends timeless class with post-modern functionality to present a phone that reshapes your smartphone experience. A flagship mobile that is designed to revolutionize the way smartphones are used in everyday life, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is not simply smart, it is technology that changes lives. The battle between Samsung and HTC is on the peak with the release of Samsung Galaxy S4. Here is a short comparison between HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

Design and Build Quality:

When it comes to design and build quality, HTC One easily wins over Samsung Galaxy S4. Samsung has been using plastic bodies for its high end mobile phones to cut cost. These plastic bodies are sturdy but they are not look worthy. It doesn't feel like holding a high end and high priced smartphone in one's hand. On the other hand, HTC One is composed of aluminum body and it gives the phone a premium look and feel. So HTC One wins over Samsung Galaxy S4 in the aspect.

After the design and built quality, the display plays an important role in a mobile phone's success in the market. HTC One features a 4.7 inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen while Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Both have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. HTC One surpasses Galaxy S4 a little in terms of ppi pixel density with 469 ppi pixel density while the latter has 441 ppi pixel density. The screen of HTC One is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and on the other hand the screen of Galaxy s4 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Memory and Storage:

In terms of storage Galaxy S4 is unbeatable as it offers three variations of internal storage (16GB/32GB/64GB) and there is also a card slot and the external memory can be extended up to 64GB. Though HTC One offers two variations of internal storage (32GB/64GB), there is no card slot. It is a bit of surprise for me. Both Galaxy S4 and HTC One feature 2GB RAM.

Nowadays even a 10k mobile features at least a 8MP primary camera. But HTC One has just a 4MP primary camera. So in this aspect it has surrendered to Samsung Galaxy S4 which has a 13MP primary camera. But we can't just judge by the numbers. HTC One features a 2.1MP secondary camera and Galaxy S4 features a 2MP secondary camera.

The OS of HTC One is Android OS, v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and it is upgradable to v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). But Galaxy S4 offers Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) fresh from the package. Both feature Quad Core processors. Some of the notable features of Samsung Galaxy S4 include S-Voice natural language commands and dictation, Smart stay, Smart pause, Smart scroll and Air gestures. These S features are absent in HTC One.

HTC One has a non-removable Li-Po 2300 mAh battery while Galaxy S4 has a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery. The battery back up depends on various factors and so we can't determine which one is better than the other just by the size of the battery.

HTC One costs Rs. 42900 while Samsung Galaxy S4 costs Rs. 40299 (rates from flipkart.com).

HTC One is the smart looking smartphone with some best features. But Samsung Galaxy S4 is the fastest and more powerful smartphone with a lot of features including some new S-features. In price too S4 beats HTC One. But the choice is entirely yours. Go for smart look or smart feature.
