June 19, 2013  by: Adi  Points: 12   Category: Gadgets  Earning $0.55   Views: 501

In this article I am comparing the unique features in Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Nokia Lumia 920.

Screen Size:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a phablet which is a combination of both Smartphone and Tablet. It has a screen size of 5.5 inches while Nokia Lumia 920 has 4.5 inches screen. In a bigger screen mobile, reading, internet browsing, playing games and watching videos will be a more pleasant experience. So in this regard, Note 2 wins over Lumia 920.

Memory:

Note 2 offers 16/32/64GB internal storage and Lumia 920 offers 32GB internal storage. There is not much of difference between these two models in terms of internal storage. But Note 2 has a microSD card slot while there is no card slot in Lumia 920. So here also Note 2 wins over Lumia 920.

Camera:

Both phones offer 8MP primary cameras. But there is a little bit of difference between the two models in terms of secondary camera. There is 1.9MP seconday camera in Note 2 and 1.3MP secondary camera in Lumia 920.

OS:

Note 2 has an Operating System of Android OS, v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), which can be upgraded to 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Lumia 920 has an Operating System of Microsoft Windows Phone 8. Both Operating Systems are good. But Google Play store provides thousands of apps for Android while Windows Apps store is a relatively new one and has only a small number of applications.

CPU:

The CPU of Note 2 is Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 and the CPU of Lumia 920 is Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait. More cores result in better parallelism, meaning more tasks can be processed in parallel without slowing down the User Interface.

RAM:

Note 2 offers almost 100% more RAM than Lumia 920. The former has a 2GB RAM while the latter has only a 1GB RAM. More RAM means more applications can run at the same time, which makes the phone faster.]

Battery Standby Time:

Note 2 has almost 145% longer battery standby time than Lumia 920. With longer standby time, the charge of the phone lasts for more days in idle condition.

Talk Time:

Note 2 has around 105% longer talk time than Lumia 920. The talk time of Note 2 is 2100 minutes while the talk time of Lumia 920 is 1020 minutes.

HDMI Support:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 HDMI. But Nokia Lumia 920 doesn't support HDMI. HDMI support allows your phone to stream photos and videos to your LCD TV (HDMI Supported) using an HDMI cable.
